Cost: Journey into Rainforest
All supplies included.
Timings: 11 am -12 pm (Saturday)
A creative journey to the rainforest and learn how to draw many rainforest inhabitants. We will study how snakes wind themselves around trees, how sloths hang upside down and what lurks in the shallow waters. The students were free to draw animals of their choice. The first step will be drawing the animal in pencil, adding proportional leaves, vines, trees and flowers then outlining all pencil lines with a black waterproof marker.
Kids will learn techniques for rendering shadows, skin, fur, and more importantly accurate poses for each animal. They will study a wide variety of animals, including most zoo animals like gorillas and giraffes. Kids will also learn about sea creatures and the differences in scaly skin. Birds are another topic of discussion since their feathers are often difficult to render for beginners.
Drawing and sketching with soft pencils and charcoal.
